St Andrew's Secondary School Chamber Choir visits the Cathedral at the 11:15 am service and shares beautiful choral music with the congregation. The choir is directed by Jacqueline Petersen (Associate Organist at the Cathedral and Music Teacher).

Dame Maguerite Pindling attends Thanksgiving Service

The Governor General Her Excellency Dame Marguerite Pindling, along with Government Officials, Business Establishments in the city, friends and benefactors of The Cathedral were guests at the 9:00 a.m. Thanksgiving Service for the 155th Anniversary of the establishment of Christ Church Cathedral and the City of Nassau.
 

Adventist Vocal Ensemble fills the Cathedral with beautiful music

The Cathedral congregation at the 9 am service were pleased to have the beautiful sounds of the Adventist Vocal Ensemble (Ave). The choir is directed by Mr. Antoin Bowe.

Members of the Zonta Club of Nassau visit the Cathedral

The officers, members, family and friends of the Zonta Club of Nassau, along with the Honourable Fred Mitchell (Minister of Foreign Affairs), were guests at the 9 am service. Their presence marked the beginning of the United Nations Day, which would be observed on Monday, October 24th, 2016. The UN has designated 2016 as "The International Year of Pulses" (Nutritious seeds for a Sustainable Future). Zonta International is a worldwide organization whose main objective is the promotion of women and girls. The club seeks to ensure that women and girls are provided with the skills and opportunities to become well-adjusted, contributing and patriotic citizens. Mrs. Ruthanne Rolle is the President of the Zonta Club of Nassau.

The Bishop and the Minnis Family Reunion Group visit the Cathedral

As the Bishop spoke about the damages in the wake of Hurricane Matthew, we, as Christians, were assured that there is hope on the horizon. At the 11:15 am service the Cathedral members was also honored to have the Minnis Family Reunion Group. Those present are descendants of Maurice and Annie Minnis of Fresh Creek, Andros. Bishop Laish Boyd, Mr. J. Henry Bostwick and Dr. Iva Dahl are members of this family.
 

Dame Marguerite Pindling Visits the Cathedral

Her Excellency, the Governor General, Dame Marguerite Pindling, along with the Deputy PM, Philip Davis and Her Excellency Ismara Vargas (Ambassador of Cuba) visits the Cathedral for the beginning of "Vendor Appreciation Week" celebrations.

Straw Vendors Appreciation Week

Mr. Kevin Simmons, Chairman and Mr. Paul Bevans, Deputy Chairman of the Straw Market Authority, along with 2016 Honourees, Staff and Vendors attend the Cathedral to start the week of "Vendor Appreciation." There are a few members of this organization who are being honoured throughout the week.

Baby Baptism at the Cathedral

At the Cathedral, friends and family members come together to celebrate the baptism of Neville Adam Charles Smith. Neville's parents, who are Leroy and Shavonne Smith, are faithful members of the Cathedral.
 

Back To School Celebration 2016

Students dress up in their school uniforms to celebrate the back-to-school celebration at the 9 am service. Following the service, children were presented with school supplies and other treats at the Parish Hall.
