The Very Reverend Harry J. L Bain





Dean Harry Jason Lamond Bain was born in Nassau, Bahamas. He began his early education at Farmer’s Cay Grant-in-aid School. He later attended primary school on mainland Exuma at Roker’s Point All Age School. Upon completing primary school, he relocated to New Providence and attended high school at Highbury High where he was Head Boy.


In pursuit to his calling to the ordained ministry, he attended Codrington Theological College in Barbados, and graduated with a Diploma in Theology (Dip. Th.) and a Licentiate in Theology (L. Th.). In 1976 he was awarded a scholarship by the Anglican Church of Canada to read Theology at Huron College - University of Western Ontario. He obtained a Bachelor of Theology (B. Th.) Degree from Huron College in 1978, and a Master of Divinity (M. Div.) Degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1979.


Dean Bain was ordained Deacon on 29th August 1978 and a Priest on 24th June 1979. He has served as Parish Priest in South Andros, Eleuthera, and High Rock, Grand Bahama. He came to Grand Bahama in 1983, and served as Chaplain and Religious Studies Teacher at Freeport Anglican High School for two years after which he served at Christ the King Anglican Church as full-time assistant for three years. In September 1988 he was appointed Principal of Freeport Anglican High School where he served for 9 years. He served as President of the Grand Bahama Christian Council and Rural Dean of the Anglican Diocese for the Northern Bahamas. He became the Rector of The Pro-Cathedral of Christ the King May 1st, 1997. Further, he was installed as a Canon of Christ Church Cathedral in October 1997 and appointed Archdeacon of The Northern Bahamas Archdeaconry in February 2010.


In addition to his ecclesiastical appointments Dean Bain served on the Board of The Hotel Corporation, The Public Utilities Commission (now URCA) and The College of The Bahamas Council. Dean Bain was appointed a Justice of the Peace in May 2001 and has been a member of the Juvenile Panel.


On September 1st, 2018, Dean Bain took up his new appointment as The Dean of Nassau and Rector of Christ Church Cathedral, Nassau, New Providence.


Dean Bain is married to Ann Woodside-Bain, and they have two daughters, Sharry, and Shannelle. His hobbies include reading, classical music, traveling and fishing.

Rev’d. Eric A. A. Miller




Rev. Fr. Eric A. A. Miller was raised by his maternal grandparents Robert and Amy Miller from the tender age of 3 years old. He, through his grandparents, attended St Agnes Anglican Church and was involved in groups such as the Prayer Band, Youth Choir, Serving Guild, Anglican Young Adults. On the Diocesan stage, he was a part of the Cursillo Movement, Diocesan Youth Department and the Guild of Vocation.


It was in 2013, after attaining an Associate Degree from The College of The Bahamas, he was sent to test his vocation, by the Diocesan Bishop, The Right Rev. Laish Boyd Sr., at Codrington College Seminary (University of the West Indies), Barbados, and completed his studies in 2017 with a Bachelors of Theology, Upper Second-Class Honors and a Diploma of Pastoral Studies.


On September 13th, 2017, the Feast of St. Cyprian, Martyr, Fr. Miller was ordained to the Order of Deacons at St Agnes Anglican Church, Nassau, Bahamas. Later, he served as the Assistant Curate at Holy Cross Anglican Church, Nassau Bahamas, from September 2017 – August 2018.


On September 1st 2018 he was assigned the position of Assistant Curate at St. Andrews Anglican Church, Exuma Bahamas. While at St. Andrews Anglican Church, he also served as an Administrator, Chaplin and Family Life teacher at St. Andrews Anglican School, Exuma Bahamas.


At Christ Church Cathedral on September 26th 2018 (Feast of St. Lancelot Andrews), he was ordained to the scared Order of Priests.


On October 1st 2019 he was assigned as Priest In Charge of St. Saviour’s, Cat Island Bahamas and concluded his service there this past July. Fr. Miller currently serves as the Assistant Curate at Christ Church Cathedral, Nassau, Bahamas.


He is married to the lovely Magistrate Ian-Marie Darville-Miller.
